Dental Implants

Dental Implants are the #1 replacement for missing teeth. The implant is a small titanium rod that is placed in the jawbone under the gums. This procedure allows for the implant/restoration to feel like real teeth. The natural feeling of implants makes it more convenient to eat and smile.

Sealant

Sealants are a simple procedure in which a white acrylic coating is bonded into the deep grooves of teeth that aren’t reached by toothbrush bristles. They act as a protective barrier over deep enamel grooves, which help fight cavitites.

Periodontal Disease

Periodontal disease is the number one cause of tooth loss and may be linked to other diseases such as diabetes, cardio vascular disease, strokes, and risk for premature pregnancy. Signs and symptoms include bleeding gums, loose or spacing of teeth, bad breath caused by the bacteria involved, and receding gums.

Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ)

The Temporal Mandibular Joint is the hinge that connects the lower jaw (mandible) to the temporal bone of the skull. The joint is flexible allowing the joint to function like no other in our body. Symptoms of the TMJ include:

-pain, tenderness in the joint area

Dr. DiMento will conduct a careful patient history along with a physical exam to determine the cause of your symptoms and the best available treatment.
